A trailblazer in the Canadian financial landscape, Don McDonald is committed to transforming the way small and mid-sized businesses grow. Leveraging nearly 40 years of expertise, he combines innovative strategies like the Waverley and Capital Acceleration Models with hands-on leadership to help companies scale smarter, faster, and with compliance at the core.
From startups to TSX-listed firms, Don’s strategic vision and deep industry knowledge have made him a trusted partner in navigating the complexities of capital markets. His mission? To create opportunities for smaller issuers to thrive in a competitive world.
Chris Black
Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer
Chris Black excels in helping businesses improve. With over 20 years as a Management Consultant, he has guided mid-size to global companies in making significant advancements. Since 2008, Chris has focused on Canada's Private Capital Market, driven by his passion for real estate investing.
As a detailed problem-solver in process improvement, he leads Waverley’s Compliance team, supports Dealing Representatives, and manages key Partner relationships.
Philip Neukom
Vice President Corporate Finance
Philip joined Waverley in 2023 as Vice President of Corporate Finance and also serves as a Dealing Representative.With over 35 years of leadership in growing small to mid-sized enterprises and more than 20 years of experience in private capital markets, he brings deep expertise in due diligence and investment review. Philip has served on both private and non-profit boards and has played a key role in helping numerous SMEs secure venture and private capital.
Martin Karadzic
Vice President of Operations
With over six years of experience across private equity, public equity, and foreign exchange markets, Martin brings a deep understanding of the exempt market and a knack for building lasting client relationships.
As a Dealing Representative at Waverley, Martin supports peers, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and fosters strong connections between investment issuers and investors.
Armed with a BBA in Business Management, certifications from the Canadian Securities Institute, and Sandler Selling System mastery, Martin is also preparing to level up with an MBA starting Fall 2025.
Paul Marjerrison
Special Advisor, Corporate Finance
Paul is a financial expert specializing in capital raising, financial modeling, and restructuring. He began his career at a Canadian accounting firm, earning his CPA in 2009, and later provided transaction advisory services in M&A. As a former CFO in various industries, Paul now consults on startups and corporate restructuring.
At Waverley Corporate Financial Services, he conducts deal evaluation and due diligence, leveraging his experience as a former Exempt Market Dealer to help clients meet regulatory and best practice standards.
